Major Dates: (all 1944)
The British Eighth Army, on the US Fifth Army's right, was not a major participant in the First Battle of Cassino.
Most ground combat was by British, French and US troops of the US Fifth Army, whose VI Corps was already engaged in the Battle of Anzio.
