  • 1st Infantry Division (Allen to 7 Aug, then Huebner) - assaulted east of Gela, Sicily 10 Jul 1943; to England after the Sicily Campaign.
  • 9th Infantry Division (Eddy) - units attached to 1st Infantry Division; replaced 1st Infantry Division 7 Aug 1943; to England after the Sicily Campaign.
  • 45th Infantry Division (Middleton) - east wing of US assault 10 Jul 1943
  • 82nd Airborne Division (Ridgway) - air assault east of Gela, Sicily 10 July 1943; to US Seventh Army 13 August 1943.
