The WWII era Pottawattamie area dead listed below fall into several categories:
  • Died in-service either shortly before or shortly after the official United States WWII period began on 7 December 1941 and ended on 31 December 1946.
  • Merchant Marine members who died during the WWII era in non-work related situations.​
  • Other selected civilians interred in military cemeteries.
They are not included in the Roster Records or Roster Fatalities portions of Big Pigeon's WWII Roster module but are included in the Roster Residences portion.
