My summary reports using data from the Pottawattamie Area WWII Dead Roster (not of general interest):
Notes:
- I intend these modules to help memorialize the WWII dead from the Pottawattamie area of southwestern Iowa. To that end, webpages marked with † in the above directory contain a list of dead taken from the Pottawattamie Area WWII Dead Roster. Bold-faced and italicized webpages denote links to submodules, from which you can either explore further or return to this WWII Operations page.
- Comm. Zone = Communications Zone, behind the Combat Zone.
- MTO = Mediterranean Theater of Operations, North Africa and Italy, with Italy including the island of Sicily.
- ETO = European Theater of Operations, Western and Central Europe.
- Ardennes/The Bulge = Battle of the Bulge, the massive German Ardennes Counteroffensive in the Ardennes in December 1944.
- Some of these webpages are still incomplete.
My summary reports using data from the Pottawattamie Area WWII Dead Roster (not of general interest):
- Roster Summary Data - aggregate roster data.
- War with Germany Campaign Concordance - differences between the official US Army list of ground campaigns in the War with Germany and Big Pigeon's organization of the War with Germany. Includes the total number of dead from each campaign. Out of date.
