The Norwegian: Oluf Christian Larsen converted to the Mormon faith as a young man in Norway.
Oluf Larsen married Kirsten Pedersen’s niece, Anne Marie, in 1863.
Oluf Larsen was present at the Circleville Massacre in 1866, when Mormon men killed twenty-five captive Native American women and children. Twenty years later Oluf was imprisoned for practicing polygamy.
Oluf Larsen lived into his nineties, and in his old age posed for the sculptor Avard Fairbanks.
