- As expected, the 34th Infantry -- the Iowa/Minnesota/Dakotas National Guard Division -- was the division with the largest number of roster dead.
- Parentheses enclosed attached units. Attached unit dead are not included in total division dead.
- MTO & ETO denote Mediterranean Theater of Operations & European Theater of Operations.
