Starting on 4 February, VIII Corps advanced eastward through the Siegfried Line, passing just to the south of and over the Schnee Eifel ridge. It captured Prüm on 12 February, and then assumed an aggressive defensive posture through the remainder of the month, advancing eastward to the Kyll River.
Arrows in the accompanying map are labeled with battalions and regiments, mostly from the 4th and 90th Infantry Divisions. |
